CODE OF CONDUCT

 

Village residents are to treat each other with respect and dignity. Safety whilst in the Shine Camp is of paramount importance. Failure to do so will result in immediate revocation of accommodation and site access.

 

PATHWAYS & CARPARK

All residents must use the pathways at all times. Extra precautions are required to travel safely between the messing facilities, accommodation blocks & Car park. Do not cross where chains are strung between buildings. This is for your safety. All vehicles must be parked in the allocated Village Car Parks: DIDO vehicles must only be parked in visitor carpark

 

ACCOMMODATION

Shine Camp accommodation is provided based on moteling. This means personnel will be required to take all belongings with them when checking out. Permanent rooms will be allocated when available. The following rules apply to the accommodation:  All personal belongings must be removed from the room at the end of your stay while moteling, when you receive your permanent room, you must pack your belongings away in the wardrobe provided in room while on R&R.  Alterations to furniture, fixtures or fittings are not allowed.  No smoking (this includes e-cigarettes & vapes) is permitted in accommodation rooms or within 5 meters of any public building entrance, please only smoke in designated areas.  On your room service day please do not leave personal belongings on your bed, Personal belongings and clothes will not be moved during your room servicing, and this may result in your bed linen not being changed or your room not being cleaned, please utilise QR code for room clean schedule.  Please ensure all food, drink & excess rubbish are removed from your fridge prior to your departure.  Room moves will only occur if the room has a maintenance issue that will need more than a day to fix, please don’t ask to change rooms because you don’t like the location.

 

CHECK-OUT

No later than 7AM, Please return your room key to Key Drop Box Outside the Admin/Office before departing. If you need a later check out the request must come from your supervisor 48 hours prior. CHECK-IN: 430pm - 630pm at Admin Office, please ring the number on the front door if you need to check-in after hours, we can arrange for you to pick up your key from the kitchen. Early

 

CHECK-IN

Early check-in is available at time of arrival. However, please be aware that the room may not have been cleaned yet. Please place your belongings on top of cupboard so Housekeepers may service the room. Each occupant will be provided with their own key to their room. If the key is lost, the occupant is required to report the loss to the Shine Camp Management immediately will incur a fee charge of $50. No responsibility is accepted by the Company for any theft, loss, or damage to personal property, therefore it is recommended that residents ensure they have suitable insurance to cover any loss or damage to their personnel property whilst in the Fly Camp. Refuse bins are located at convenient positions throughout the Fly Camp. Ashtrays / Cigarette butt bins are also provided throughout the Fly Camp. Please ensure that they are used and dispose of your rubbish thoughtfully.

 

PROHIBITED ITEMS

Internet boosters are not prohibited on site, occupants found with the Internet booster within the village may face disciplinary action and the booster will be confiscated. Any Banned weapons, incense burners/incense, diffusers, candles, microwaves, toasters, sandwich presses are also not permitted on-site.

 

NOISE

Excessive noise within the Fly Camp will not be tolerated. In consideration of other residents, all undue noise and music will cease between the hours of 21:00 and 04:00 & 9:00 to 16:00. Please also be thoughtful if you are next to Night shift Personnel as well as A block while coming and going to the carpark, as staff here have different shift times

 

MAINTENANCE

To engage maintenance services please email shineadmin@alphanational.com.au or use QR code in your room. Alternatively, see Shine Camp Admin to complete a maintenance request form. LAUNDRY Laundry facilities are provided for use by Shine Camp residents and can be found in the middle of B Block. Washing powder is provided. Machines are to be left in clean condition after use. Please be considerate of others whilst using these facilities. Personnel found tampering or stealing other residents’ belongings will face disciplinary action, which may lead to accommodation being revoked.

 

DRUGS AND ILLEGAL ACTIVITY

The taking or possession of illegal substances is prohibited at Shine Fly Camp. Any person found with illegal substances within the Shine Camp will be reported to the Police and face immediate disciplinary action. The conducting of or taking part in any illegal activity in the Shine Camp is strictly prohibited. Personnel involved in this will have their accommodation revoked immediately.

 

SMOKING 

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas which can be found on the evacuation map on the back of your room door.

 

LOCKER ROOMS

No responsibility is accepted by the Company for any theft, loss, or damage to personal property, therefore it is recommended that residents ensure they have suitable insurance to cover any loss or damage to their personnel property whilst in the Fly Camp.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL AND REHABILITATION AREAS AND INDIGENOUS SITES

a)No damage of flora or fauna is permitted.

b)Feeding animals is strictly prohibited.

c)Indigenous Heritage sites are off limits to all personnel. These areas are clearly marked with Pink/Black Heritage tape. Violation or trespassing onto aboriginal heritage sites is considered a serious offence and may result in disciplinary action resulting in accommodation being revoked.

DRY MESS AND MEALS

Note: Mealtimes will be strictly adhered to. Meals will not be served outside these hours unless authorised by the Camp Manager, if your work group has extended hours or unexpectedly must work back and will miss dinner, please contact camp manager and we will be happy to organise the kitchen to stay open for you. Please don’t enter the dining room outside of opening hours, if you are having an RDO and require food please see admin.

Dry Mess Opening Times: Breakfast from 4:30am – 7am Dinner from 4:30pm – 7:30pm CRIB: Crib meal collections are available from the Crib located in the Dry Mess during the breakfast & dinner service. Crib meals taken are to be in reusable containers or bio containers provided.

 

ALLERGIES: If you have allergies, please fill in the form supplied at check in and make yourself known to both the camp manager and Chefs on duty. NO HOT FOOD TO BE TAKEN OUT OF THE DINING ROOMOR PUT INCRIB

 

CONTAINERS FOR TAKEAWAY Crockery and cutlery are not to be taken from the Dry Mess. Personnel will be stopped if seen to be taking large amounts of food such as bread, bottles of sauce, milk etc. No Smoking (this includes e-cigarettes & vapes) is permitted in the Dry Mess. Persons behaving in a disorderly manner may be asked to leave the Dry Mess. Dress Code - No dirty uniforms, gym wear or sleeveless/singlets are allowed in the mess Please don’t ask the Chefs to cook a special meal for you, we offer a varied range of fresh healthy food to cover most dietary requirements on both our services, if you have special dietary requirements, please let the Camp Manager know when you check-in.

 

WET MESS/ RETAIL The Wet Mess/ Retail sells a small range of beers, spirits, wines, soft drinks, water, energy and sports drinks, confectioneries, snacks and toiletries. All alcoholic beverages will be served open. Takeaway alcohol is allowed with a limit of 4 units and purchased prior to 6:30pm. Takeaway alcohol is not permitted to be consumed within the wet mess area. Opening Times: Morning Wet Mess service for Night Shift workers will be available from 6:00 Am to 7:00Am Night Wet Mess/ Retail service: 6:00pm - 7pm 7:30pm – 8:30pm. Self-Test BAC: A self-test unit is available across from admin offices next to Alpha linen store for self-checking purposes. ADMIN Administration personnel will be available from: 6am - 6pm Admin phone: 0417 114 136 GYM Before entering the gym, an ALPHA Shine Camp Gym Induction must be completed and signed, these are available at the admin office.
