Welcome to Iron Ridge Village:

At Fenix Resources, safety is at the starting point of everything we do. We are committed to continuous improvement in this area and it is essential that you become familiar with the safety standards, Fenix Resources’ Code of Conduct, and the Village Code of Conduct found at the bottom of this page that regulate your stay in the Iron Ridge Village.

Packed and ready to go:
Your room is supplied with sheets and towels for your stay. Rooms are cleaned weekly and the linen changed once per week. Soap and industrial strength laundry detergent is also supplied.
Meals will be provided for you at the Iron Ridge Village dry mess during your roster.
You will need to pack:
• Your PPE: trousers, HI-VIS shirts, safety glasses, lace-up boots, and a hard hat for plant areas;
• Casual clothing, keep in mind that singlets are not allowed in the dry mess;
• Toiletries;
• Any prescription medications that you require and enough for the duration of your roster;
• Water bottle; and
• Alarm clock.

Staying in touch:
There is WIFI calling available at site.
The Administration Offices and Village areas of Iron Ridge will be connected to the internet with wireless coverage. Internet based Voice Over IP packages, such as WhatsApp and Skype are the best ways to stay in contact with family and friends. Please ensure that you have such a package installed on your phone, and your family and friends’ phones before you leave.
Fitness for Work:
Fenix Resources believes all employees have the right to work in a safe environment and takes a negative view on alcohol and drug abuse. There is a zero-tolerance policy for employees (includes all contractors) who report for work under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
Your employer will be required to provide a “fit for work certificate” as part of your mobilisation and the Company will conduct random testing.
Bringing any form of alcohol onto site is strictly prohibited. A wet mess is available according to its opening times and liquor licensing conditions are posted in the licensed area. These MUST be adhered to or your accommodation maybe withdraw

On Arrival:
The Iron Ridge Village is managed by Alpha National Catering in conjunction with Fenix Resources (Company):

 - Please report to the Iron Ridge Village Reception on arrival to check-in, sign the Arrivals sheet and be allocated your room.
- If it is your first-time attending the Iron Ridge site, please feel free to speak to the Camp Manager and ask any questions you may have regarding the Iron Ridge Village.
- If you arrive via the charter plane your room may not be ready for occupation due to early morning changeover. If this is the case, please store your baggage to one side of the room and it will be detailed and clean upon your return from work.
- Crib will be available for collection from the dry mess on fly in days.

Accommodation Inventory Checklist:
Each room in the Iron Ridge Village is allocated the following contents and we require you to notify the Iron Ridge Village Reception within 24 hours of your arrival if any of the above items are missing. Should you not advise the Iron Ridge Village Reception, any items identified as being missing may be charged to you.

During your Stay
All residents have a responsibility to comply with the Fenix Resources Iron Ridge Village Code of Conduct and this is shown on the last page of this booklet. Please take time to look at it as “ignorance of requirements will not excuse poor behaviour.”
Village management does have the right to access any room without notice provided there is a witness present.
Alpha or the Company are not responsible for personal items brought to site. If valuables are brought to site, it is advisable to check with your insurer to make sure they are covered.
Residents are reminded that some personnel work night shift. Night shift personnel will be accommodated in a common area where possible. Night shift signs will be placed in these areas, noting 9am to 4pm remains a quiet time for these areas
On Departure:
Please ensure you remove all your belongings and baggage from your room by 9.00am on the morning of your departure
• Please remember to sign out on departure sheet, located in dry mess and drop key off at the Village admin.
• If you would like to store your belongings on site whilst on R&R there is a locked storage area available. Please speak to the Village Manager or another Iron Ridge Village staff member located at the Iron Ridge Village Reception for assistance with this. Other than this arrangement, your belongings cannot be left at site.
• On departure, the Iron Ridge Village staff will undertake a quick review of the vacated room to establish its general condition and to determine whether items are missing.

Kitchen/Dry Mess:
Opening Hours: 04.00am – 07.00am & 16.00pm – 19.15pm

Access to the kitchen facilities/dry mess is strictly prohibited outside of the published hours unless authorised by the on-duty Chef or Iron Ridge Village Manager.
Remember access to dry mess is in one door and out the other door
Coffee/tea are available in the Wet Mess.
• We understand that from time to time you may work late or due to unexpected reasons are delayed in attending the dry mess until after hours. If this is the case, please contact the Iron Ridge Village Reception and our chef will plate you a meal.
• If you have any food allergies they must be reported and entered on the Allergen Log-on Sheet located in the Dry mess and on your Guest Registration card. It is important you let us know and we need your assistance on this issue.
• If you have any special medical dietary requirements, please provide details in the Village Check-in Form on arrival. Please feel free to ask our Chef if you are not sure on the contents of any dish when you are in the dry mess.
• No dirty clothes are to be worn into the kitchen/dry mess at any time. All personnel should shower before entering the dry mess
• Catering staff will refuse entry to anyone wearing dirty clothes into the dry mess.
• Footwear must always be worn.
• Personal bags and equipment should not be left in this area.
• No food, other than crib meals (for nightshift) and desert (for dayshift) are permitted to be removed out of the dry mess area under any circumstances. Special requests may be made on an individual basis to this general rule.
• Alcohol is not permitted in the Dry Mess and Catering staff reserve the right to refuse service if you are seen bring alcohol into the Dry Mess.

Wet Mess & Retail:
• Opening Hours: 4.30pm – 6:30 - Opens again 7:00hrs - Last drinks call - 7:45pm.
• Alcohol is strictly prohibited from being brought onto site and into the licensed area.
• The Village catering staff have full authority to exercise service of alcohol in accordance with Liquor Licensing Regulations.
• A card terminal is available for electronic over the counter transactions.
• Maximum of six cans of beer or premix, or one bottle of wine per person per day takeaway. This is not to be consumed in the bar area.
• All purchases of alcohol whilst at the bar will be opened at point of sale (excepting takeaway sales
• A small selection of toiletry and confectionery items are available for purchase at the wet mess and/or Village Reception. Please contact Alpha staff
• Please note: There is a mandatory rule on site, that the licenced premisses
(Bar Area) will be vacated prior to 8:30pm each night. If persons are found to be in his area after 8:30 disciplinary actions will be taken.

Noise curfew in the camp 9:00pm – 04:00am, for the comfort of other residents. Anyone causing disturbance outside of these hours may have their accommodation withdrawn.

Room Cleans & Maintenance:
Most rooms will be allocated as permanent rooms. Only some rooms are occupied back-to-back. This means when you are off site on R&R, annual leave or sick leave, your room may be used by other personnel (unless you have been given a permanent room). Rooms are allocated by the Village Manager.

Other than the scheduled clean listed below by Alpha you are responsible for the hygiene and cleanliness of the room you are allocated. They will be cleaned before your arrival at change of occupancy.
Please ensure that your room is in such a condition that cleaning staff can easily move within your room and that loose items are not left on top of your bed.
• Rooms receive a full clean on a weekly basis and are detailed when vacated.
• Linen and towels are changed once per week.
Any rooms that are found to be in a poor state will not be cleaned during scheduled cleans and cleaning staff will report the issue to the Village Manager for action with your employer. Rooms will be inspected regularly, however if your room requires any maintenance, please complete a Maintenance Request Form located in the dry mess and Village Administration/ Reception, and hand it in to the Village Manager at the Village Reception for assessment and action. You will be notified before any unrequested maintenance work takes place.
Smoking:
Smoking is NOT permitted in your room, or any enclosed area of the Village. Please preserve and respect our areas by disposing of cigarette butts only in receptacles provided.
Laundries:
Laundries are located in B and D block for your use. Machines are free
The laundry contains industrial washing machines and driers, iron as well as washing powder. If you have sensitive skin, it may be advisable to bring your own washing
powder/liquid.
Gym:
The gym is open outside of work hours, opening 4:00am to 8:00pm.
Sports shoes, towel, drink bottle and sports clothing are required for gym use.
Equipment is to be wiped clean after use, and equipment such as dumbbells are to be returned to racks after use.
Shower before going to the Dry mess for meals
ydration:
Water from taps within the village is potable. An ice machine, and bottle/cooler fill point is provided between the medic and administration building. All water on site is Potable
Medical Support:
Fenix Resources Medical Centre is supported by an onsite medic and is structured for the purpose of servicing medical emergencies. It does not store large quantities of over-the-counter medications nor does it supply consultations with the medic, so please consider your pharmacy needs before coming to site.
Please report any prescription medication you are taking to the Fenix Resources Medic when you arrive or return to the Site Project.
Fire and Emergency:
Fire prevention is important to all of us and everyone is asked to be mindful of potential fire hazards. Please be aware:
• Misuse of fire equipment, which includes damaging or using fire equipment irresponsibly, and tampering with smoke detectors, will result in rights to accommodation being withdrawn.
• The cooking of food in rooms in not permitted.
• The burning of candles or open flame equipment in rooms is not permitted.
The Village area is covered by UHF Duplex CH07. In the event of an emergency, announce over the channel “Emergency, Emergency, Emergency” stating type of emergency, location, and contact details, you will be given further instructions.
 
Comments and Suggestions:
Resident’s suggestions and comments about the Village are welcome. Forms are available in the dry mess and the Village Reception. Please return completed forms to our staff.
